Rai Benjamin earns silver in the 400m hurdles, anchors Team USA to gold in the 4x400m

Running in his first IAAF World Championships, Rai Benjamin overcame a late-season foot injury to take silver in the 400m hurdles in a time of 47.66. Already the second-fastest man in the world this year in the intermediate hurdles, Benjamin's silver medal-winning run on a bruised heel will cement his spot as the world number two in this year’s rankings.

A week after his hurdles final, Benjamin anchored Team USA to gold in the men’s 4x400m relay, coming home in 2:56.69, the fastest-time in the world this year.
