Confirming his status as the world's premier men's sprinter, Noah Lyles capped off his 2018 campaign with victories at both the IAAF Diamond League Final and the IAAF Continental Cup. At the Diamond League Final in Zurich, Lyles continued his win streak over 200m, running away comfortably with the victory and overall title in a time of 19.67sec. With that time, Lyles now joins Usain Bolt as the only two men to run under 19.70sec for 200m four times in a single year.
Eight days later, Lyles scored two more victories at the IAAF Continental Cup in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Representing North and South America, Lyles ran the second leg of the Americas' victorious 4x100m relay squad. The following day, Lyles defeated Asian Champion Bingtian Su of China in the 100m, winning 10.01 to Su's 10.03
