Jake Wightman broke his first Scottish national record, running 2:16.27 for third in the 1000m at the Bauhaus Galan Diamond League in Stockholm last night, breaking Graham Williamson's previous record of 2:17.82, set back in 1984.Staying well back of pacemaker Bram Som in the early stages, Jake passed 400m in 12th in a measured 55.5, and moved up to sixth place by 800m in 1:49.6. Wightman closed with a final 200m of 26.6, solidly in thrid place.
