Meseret Legese wins Hengshui Lake Marathon

Leading from gun to tape, Meseret Legese turned in a dominating performance, winning the Henghui Lake Marathon today in Hengshui, Hebei, China, in a time of 2:28:04. While she had been on pace trhough 32km to comfortably better 2:25, warmer conditions and stomach cramping slowed Meseret in the final miles, though she was still several minutes ahead of second place. Henghsui Lake is Meseret's second-straight win, having taken first at the Wuhan Marathon in April.
